Mobile Applications Development Prerequisites
Applicants to the Mobile Applications program please note: it is required that applicants have experience in programming. Candidates will be required to demonstrate a fundamental understanding of programming concepts and basic knowledge of C/C++, C#, Java or one of the comparable programming languages. Through an interview, the program advisor and/or a faculty member will determine student's facility and comfort with at least one of the programming languages, most probably a C-based language like C/C++, C# or Java
Highly experienced mobile apps programmers may apply to proficiency out of the initial iOS and/or the Android SDK programming classes and focus on usability & design.
Candidates who are not experienced programmers or who need a refresher can be referred to qualifying courses including a one month programming boot camp. The four-week boot camp is only available to students who apply and are accepted into the one-year Mobile Applications Development program. (The Programming Boot Camp is offered 2/27/2012-3/21/2012, two evenings a week 5:30-9:30PM )
